Innovative Digital Content Protection and Marking

"Specifically designed for the audiovisual world, Medialive's advanced technology not only enables secure end-to-end content distribution but also fully supports innovative business models."

Didier Lesteven

Headquartered in France, Medialive was created to develop and market innovative solutions enabling true end-to-end digital content protection and security for multimedia distribution networks. Medialive's challenge then became to provide a digital content protection and marking technology adapted to the telecommunication networks.

Medialive’s extensive experience and knowledge of digital audiovisual compression standards and telecommunication networks technologies led the company to invent and deploy a set of new content protection solutions perfectly matching with the market needs:
  • Digital content industry requires proven anti-piracy solutions supporting new entertainment services;
  • Ability to protect and mark simultaneously digital content in order to track content usages from distribution to consumption;
  • Content distributors and aggregators are looking for flexible, easy-to-implement and cost-effective solutions (operation and ownership);
  • Consumers are now familiar with accessing digital content over broadband networks; moreover they are looking for easy access and content sharing across their personal devices.
Medialive’s objective is to protect and mark any compressed digital content in a single operation (simultaneously). Furthermore, Medialive’s solution is compatible with all telecommunication fixed and mobile networks, content and rights management infrastructures and any devices, thus giving content industry players the opportunity to deploy entertainment services over many secure distribution channels in a converging world.

Medialive’s solutions are designed to help the digital content industry minimize its ever growing losses due to piracy.

Medialive is an active member of international standardization groups, like ISO/IEC JTC1/SC29/MPEG or JPEG and also technical forums.
